Restore Database Backup

Mis à jour le

The restore tool is used to reload all or part of the database backed up with the backup tool. For more information on creating a backup, refer to the article "Create a Database backup":

The restore tool is located in the Windows search bar in the CABINET VISION XX folder or in "C:\Cabinet Vision\Solid_XX\CVRestore.exe"

The "Backups" column on the left shows all the backups made that can be reloaded. The "Files" column on the right lists the different elements that make up the backup and that can be restored. See the article "Create a Database backup" for more details on each item.

Close all Vision Cabinets linked to the database that you want to restore before starting the process

Some backups have been renamed, for others, the software automatically sets the date followed by the time of the backup. Simply select the backup to restore and tick the items you want to restore. At the end of the process Cabinet Vision will launch an update of the database, once this is done the restoration is complete.

CAUTION: Restoring an item overwrites the current version of it. With each restoration a backup is automatically made by the software to avoid data loss. Automatic backups are recognizable by the "am" and the "pm" written at the end of the backup name. Each software update causes an automatic backup of the database, they are represented in the form "Update From <old version> TO <New version>".
